Immigration – Services and Fees

Personal Immigration Matters
We provide professional personal immigration law advice and representation to individuals looking to enter or remain in the UK for work, study or family reasons.

We can draw on our years of experience of preparing visa applications and presenting successful appeals and judicial reviews before the immigration tribunals.

Business Immigration Matters
We work directly with businesses in the UK and overseas to ensure that their immigration requirements are met.

Whether you wish to recruit a foreign worker, establish a UK branch of an overseas company or effect an intra-company transfer, we can assist.

FEES

We do not charge for an initial 15 minutes telephone consultation. So whether you are an individual or a business, you can contact us for free.

We conduct all our work on an agreed fixed fee basis, no hourly rates and no hidden extras.

Our quote will assume that you will provide us with the necessary information to deliver the agreed scope of work within the agreed timeframe.  We may have to amend our fee if the scope of work or timeframe changes for reasons beyond our control.

Our fees are highly competitive because under direct access, we work directly with our clients, without the involvement of a solicitor.

This means you only need to pay for one lawyer rather than two. Further we do not bill separately for the usual running expenses of a law firm such as telephone calls, photocopying, printing, stationery, document storage, postage or travel within 30 miles radius.

Our fees do not include costs related to your matter that are due to paid to third parties (known as disbursements), such as Home Office fees, Court or Tribunal fees, independent expert fees and translation/interpretation fees.

Where such disbursements arise, you will be responsible for those.

Initial Consultation Meetings

Our professional fees for up to 1 hour initial consultation meeting at Chambers are: £300

Application Preparation & Submission

As no two cases are the same, our professional fees for preparing and submitting visa and immigration applications also vary from case to case.

Our professional fee for preparing and submitting a simple visa or immigration application is typically between £750 and £1,500.  An application of medium complexity will typically cost between £2,000 and £4,000. Our professional fee for preparing and submitting a more complex application is likely to be between £5,000 and £7,500.

Factors that may increase or decrease a quote include:

  • the complexity of the issues in the case;
  • the number of applicants, including any dependants;
  • the volume of supporting documents or witnesses;
  • the timeframe for completion of the application;
  • whether it is a standard, priority, super priority or VIP application;
  • whether we were instructed to prepare an earlier initial or extension application;

For details of the work that we typically include as part of our visa or immigration application preparation and submission service, please see Our Immigration Services page.

Application Checking
As no two cases are the same, our professional fees for checking visa and immigration applications will vary from case to case.

As a guide, our professional fees for checking a visa or immigration application are typically one-third of the fee that we would charge for fully preparing and submitting any given application.

Appeal Preparation & Representation

No two appeal cases are the same and we approach each case individually.  Because of this, our professional fees for preparing immigration appeals and providing representation at immigration appeal hearings will vary from case to case.

Our professional fee for preparing a simple visa or immigration appeal to the First-tier Tribunal and providing representing at an appeal hearing before the First-tier Tribunal is typically between £1,500 and £2,500.  An appeal of medium complexity will typically cost between £3,000 and £5,000. Our professional fee for preparing a more complex immigration appeal and providing representation at the appeal hearing is likely to be between £5,000 and £7,000.

If you would like a quote for an appeal to the Upper Tribunal or above, for Administrative Review, or Judicial Review proceedings, or if you are a legal representative looking to instruct counsel to attend a hearing only then please contact us for further details of our fees.
